Uniform Policy

Policy Statement

This policy is designed to guide employees on the required standards of dress and appearance. Employees must maintain an appropriate standard of dress and personal appearance at work and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times both within the workplace and when representing the Company.

The policy is not exhaustive in defining acceptable and unacceptable standards of dress and appearance, and staff must use common sense in adhering to the principles underpinning the policy.

The Company recognizes the diversity of cultures and religions of its employees and will take a sensitive approach when this affects dress and uniform requirements. Where necessary the HR Department can disseminate appropriate information explaining cultural dress and customs. However, priority will be given to health and safety, security and other similar considerations

Policy

While working for the Company employees represent the Company. The appearance of employees contributes to our reputation and the development of our business. All employees are required to be neat, clean and tidy and of smart appearance in a way to present themselves at all times in accordance with their professional status and dress in a manner appropriate to their role, whether working on the Company’s premises or elsewhere.

Each employee will receive an initial set from Sapphire Corporate Solutions, and thereafter any additional items will be to your account. The first set will include 3 tops based on the employee’s designation and one Friday t-shirt. The employee is responsible for the bottoms of their outfit.

The three tops issued are to be worn from Monday to Thursdays and the Friday t-shirt is to be worn on a Friday.

The uniforms issued must not be altered in any way without the Company’s permission. Where uniforms are issued by the Company, they remain the property of the Company. Employees must take responsibility to ensure that good care is taken of them, and return any uniforms issued on the termination of employment. This includes laundering the uniform on a regular basis.  If the employee has lost an article of their uniform, or the uniform has been damaged, this will be at the employee’s expense.

Sapphire Corporate Solutions may issue new uniforms periodically or require uniforms to be returned for special purposes (e.g., logo change, corporate color change). Employees will be given notice of the exchange.

Employees are required to return all issued uniforms upon termination of employment. If employee leaves the employment of Sapphire Corporate Solutions out of own accord or due to misconduct within six months of issued uniforms Sapphire Corporate Solutions will deduct the cost of the uniforms from the employee’s final paycheck.

If employees have questions regarding this policy or its implementation, they should contact their line manager.
