Peanut Sauce ala Jenneke

Recipe for delicious Peanut Sauce

Satay Sauce or Peanut Sauce, are going with kebabs called Satay Ajam (cubes of pork filet or chicken and put on skewers, and can be made a bit crispy on the braai as best are marinated a day before with the Ketjap (soy) sauce) Never forget prawn crackers or French bread with it !

Ingredients:

  • A few spoons of Woollies normal peanut butter (other brands will do too I suppose)
  • Milk to dilute
  • A bit of “Ketjap” which is a Soy sauce from the Dutch brand Conimex (at Pick and Pay and at some Spars certainly when located in areas where a lot of Dutch people live)
  • A wooden spoon for stirring and diluting slowly and on a low fire
  • Your finger to taste once in a while to see if the quantities are right and to test the smoothness
  • When you heat it up again before using it just add a bit of water
  • You can make it a bit spicy with a teaspoon of Sambal Badjak, also from Conimex , this is baked spices and fairly mild
  • Love 🙂
