The theme for Nelson Mandela Day 2023 was “Climate, Food and Solidarity.’’ The vision was for the world to unite and act decisively against the consequence of climate change and food insecurity.

A suggestion was to embrace home and community planting and growing as a contribution to protecting the environment and addressing the challenge of climate change.

The team in CPT brought their green fingers out and planted some herbs and fruit.  It was a race to see who could get their planter boxes filled first!

We hope to one day use the produce to add to office lunches… if our resident horticulturist, Craige, can keep them alive!
