Nelson Mandela Day 2023
The theme for Nelson Mandela Day 2023 was “Climate, Food and Solidarity.’’ The vision was for the world to unite and act decisively against the consequence of climate change and food insecurity.
A suggestion was to embrace home and community planting and growing as a contribution to protecting the environment and addressing the challenge of climate change.

The team in CPT brought their green fingers out and planted some herbs and fruit. It was a race to see who could get their planter boxes filled first!
We hope to one day use the produce to add to office lunches… if our resident horticulturist, Craige, can keep them alive!

Sapphire Cape Town Social Event
Ladies’ MudBounce 15 Oct ’22
On the 15th of October, several of Sapphire’s ladies took part in the Cape Town MudBounce in Stellenbosch. The “not fast, but furious” ladies grinded their way through the challenging course that featured crawling through grimy mud, climbing over high walls, splashing across a wooden bridge, and traversing obstacles throughout the muddy course.
We are excited to share some snaps from the event!
Sapphire Johannesburg’s Monthly Gathering
Once a month we all strive to get together and in May, we donned our craziest hats and indulged in a little fun with plenty of laughs. Something we should strive to do a lot more often!
“Crazy Hat Day” at Sapphire Johannesburg was our theme for our social get together in May.
